About.

I will never try to make you get rid of your belongings, but I will help you find them, enjoy them and display them, so they bring you joy.

Hello

I'm Marie.

As far back as I can remember, I often rearranged my bedroom and sorted drawers in the family home.  I am one of the few people who enjoys moving house as it gives me a new project and a reason to reassess my possessions..
I thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction order brings to my clients.

I have moved many times and I moved my daughter 5 times in 8 years. Giving me the tools to help with your relocation or reorganisation tasks.

I am a proud member of APDO the association of professional declutterers and organisers and a member of the board.

A member of the Institute for Challenging
Disorganization (ICD) and trained to specialist level in Hoarding.

A founding member of a local Hoarding Peer Support Group in Chorley run by the local council.

I also trained to an advanced level with Hoarding disorders UK and I am DBS checked.
I also studied foundation level Feng Shui.

I have two grown up children and two grandchildren who I adore and a spoilt Russian blue cat.

Est. 2017

After school I went into the corporate world and the skills, I developed during those years, such as time management and coordinating people and processes help me in this field.

I formed Cut the Clutter in 2017 after helping friends and family with their moves and decluttering and clearing my mum’s flat when she went into care.

This made me realise that there are lots of busy people who do not have the time, motivation, or vision to complete their own sorting. I had found my niche!

Since then I have organised hundreds of rooms, whole houses, garages, wardrobes, and paperwork.

I am easy to work with and get pleasure in helping you to achieve your goals, making your life as easy as possible and saving you time to do the things you enjoy. I don’t make judgements. I provide guidance to improve your situation but let you decide what will work best.

I do not condone the fast clearances seen on many TV programmes.  You are in control all the time.

I pride myself on being the type of person who listens, encourages, and inspires. I bring my well-grounded, focussed, and supportive attitude to Cut the Clutter.

I am often asked what type of person books my services and I have to say that there is no typical client. I have helped families, singles, all genders, all age groups and individuals with lots of physical and mental health issues.

The thing I like most about decluttering and organising is the reward of seeing joy on a client’s face and their genuine appreciation. I am doing what I love, and I meet such interesting people, no two days are the same.

I will give you the time & space to enjoy your organised home by helping you to "Cut the Clutter" from your life.
